You'll also take responsibility for a developing portfolio of clients and will be expected to build and grow relationships over time. The role will involve some travel between our two offices and to client premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit fieldwork from planning through to completion, including on-site client visits - audit experience desired but not necessary
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
  • Work alongside the partners to deliver client work efficiently and to a high standard
  • Support and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work where appropriate
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients in your portfolio
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, improvements, or additional services
  • Ensure work is completed to relevant technical and regulatory standards

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance
  • Friendly, inclusive team with a focus on progression and work-life balance
  • Clear opportunity to grow your role and portfolio as you develop
  • Life insurance, pension, on-site parking, and regular team events
  • Exposure to a broad client base across a variety of sectors, including specialist areas such as education and charities

About You:

  • Good people skills: You will have strong interpersonal skills, commercial awareness and be able to communicate with different people, modifying your style to suit the audience; demonstrating empathy when required
  • Good with numbers: You will have strong numeracy skills and enjoy working with figures.
  • Organised: You can manage your time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Focused on detail: Accuracy is key in accounting and the successful candidate will have a sharp eye for detail.
  • A team player: You can work well in a team and can communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Recently ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3 years’ experience in practice
