Job description

Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology partner to Enterprises in the banking and financial services sector? Amazon Web Services is leading the next transformation enabled by cloud, data, and AI, and is looking for world-class candidates to join our FSI business.

As an Enterprise Account Manager for FSI, your responsibilities will include building and driving the strategy to increase adoption and market penetration in large banking accounts, to build long-term business and marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a business development or sales background that enables engagement at all levels of a customer and partner organization, including C-levels of the business and IT. He/she should be a self-starter prepared to develop and execute a coverage plan aligned with business objectives. This is a high-visibility role requiring engagement with CXOs of banks and leveraging internal executives to drive transformational outcomes for large banks in the long term.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key customers at the C-levels of Business & IT.
  2. Work closely with the Channels team to ensure a robust AWS ecosystem is engaged to support the customer’s key business priorities.
  3. Maintain accurate forecasts and various business reports.
  4. Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  5. Possess the technical ability to explain (not implement) Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence solutions in the context of banking business problems.
  6. Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management.
  7. Ensure customer satisfaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive customer network in FSI.
  • Proficiency in German and French.
  • A technical background in engineering or computer science is a plus.
