Job description

London

Want to help ground-breaking net zero-focussed organisations tell their stories?

Our clients’ technologies are changing the world. From advanced nuclear, to carbon capture and storage, to the new hydrogen economy, their innovations are shaping the future and changing people's lives for the better. We’re proud to help tell our clients’ stories and grow their businesses - in the UK and overseas.

We are looking for an Account Manager with experience working across the energy, climate and clean tech landscape; and/or a working knowledge of the UK public affairs and media environment to join our Net-Zero Transition Practice.

The right candidate will have the chance to work with and learn from some of the best communications advisors in the business, at one of the UK’s most respected consultancies operating in the net-zero space.

Matthew Houlsby, our NZT Managing Director, and his team deliver best in class digital, media, and government relations expertise for companies and organisations operating in the UK’s growing net-zero transition economy.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a committed, smart working individual, with an interest across the communications spectrum - UK public affairs, media relations, multi-channel communications campaigns - a strong grasp of current events and an understanding of net-zero policy and business issues. We want candidates with a motivation to succeed, and a willingness to learn. Someone who can help us grow our business and help us take it to the next level.

You will want to help our clients tell their stories in ways that can influence a wide range of different audiences to benefit their business objectives. You’ll have experience in either media, government and/or broader stakeholder engagement, with an understanding of how integrated communications (media, digital, creative) can help deliver real-world impact. Previous/current experience working in a communications agency/consultancy is desirable.

In this role, you will be expected to draft communications materials; coordinate client account activity, managing both up and down to ensure smooth delivery for clients; and confidently build relationships with both clients and external stakeholders - whether they be journalists, MPs offices, civil servants, or potential partners.

What we can offer you

In return, we can offer the opportunity to work in a company that takes its values seriously, having committed to working with net-zero technology providers many years ago and committed to the low-carbon economies of the future. You will be able to work with some of the most exciting companies in the UK, from nuclear fusion developers to low-emission aircraft developers.

We are helping our clients to change the world for the better; join us!

Our Benefits

As well as the basic salary, great social events and a culture of continual learning, our competitive benefits package includes:

  • 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays (rising to a maximum of 30 days alongside length of service)
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution
  • Private Medical insurance (for you and your family)
  • Income Protection insurance
  • Financial support and advice
  • Travel insurance (for you and your family)
  • An annual wellness benefit of £150
  • Four-week sabbatical after every 5 years’ service.
