We are seeking an ambitious Senior Account Handler/Broking Manager to join our dynamic team in Stourbridge. If you have a passion for insurance, this is the opportunity for you. Be part of a world-class organization that values collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and manage personal work activities to achieve team objectives and targets.
  2. Mentor and assist team members with broking difficulties.
  3. Participate in team meetings, report on business progress within your expertise.
  4. Manage assigned projects and contribute to others.
  5. Review client documentation for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  6. Communicate client requirements for risk marketing.
  7. Liaise with clients to resolve queries and respond to market and third-party questions.
  8. Produce high-quality market documentation and secure authorizations.
  9. Take ownership of data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities.
  10. Work with underwriters to place insurance balancing quality, coverage, and cost.
  11. Process data accurately to support client service and internal processes.
  12. Maintain organized and timely documentation for clients.
  13. Conduct due diligence and sanctions checks per procedures.
  14. Adhere to company policies and obtain necessary authorizations.
  15. Build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  16. Support senior colleagues and clients when needed.
  17. Handle or refer client enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of general and legal principles of insurance.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the market, including competitors, territories, and cultural awareness.
  • Experience in an account handling or technical role within commercial insurance.
  • Understanding of team objectives and personal contribution.
  • Mentoring or management experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Flexible, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Calm, resilient under pressure, adaptable to change.
  • Skilled at building relationships and effective communication.
