Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Acturis is essential for this role.

Job description

Cobra Network is an award-winning broker network, with a growing membership of independent brokers. Since 2003, we’ve remained focused on helping independent brokers meet their challenges and open up new opportunities.

Job Overview
Act as a placement broker for commercial business receiving risks from circa 230 Cobra Network brokers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Builds and maintains relationship with key existing network members
  • Works towards department targets.
  • Develops strategies and goals for the development and management of these accounts, in collaboration with Broking Desk manager
  • Serves as the primary contact for members and provides day-to-day support, service and advice to brokers.
  • Liaises with brokers and other colleagues to ensure all relevant information is gathered in the preparation of annual renewals and endorsements.
  • Understands brokers needs and applies knowledge of risks and the insurance market to find and arrange suitable insurance coverage and policies; acts in the interest of the clients and offers products from more than one insurer to secure the optimal insurance solution.
  • May identify, develop and close new sales opportunities by creating demand and awareness of the organization's products among existing brokers.
  • Responsibilities are within the Insurance Broking Relationship Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

Qualifications
  • Progressions to ACII preferred but not essential

Experience
  • 5 years plus commercial insurance placement experience
  • Knowledge of Acturis
