Job description

# Senior Account Executive - Clearbox**£28,000 - £32,000 • Clearbox • Belfast**At Clearbox, we’ve spent years telling stories for brands people love, including Boojum, Deliveroo and Ring, and we’ve supported Amazon through 11 Black Friday sales events along the way. One of our great colleagues is moving on to their next adventure. We’re sorry to see them go and pleased for them at the same time, which means we’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our PR team in Belfast.**What the job actually is**You’ll be the person clients and colleagues come to first, because you know what’s happening on your accounts and you’ve usually spotted a problem before anyone else has. You’ll lead media sell-ins across national, consumer and trade titles, build proper relationships with the journalists who matter to your clients, and keep an eye on the news agenda so you can jump on reactive opportunities when they come up (and they always come up at the least convenient moment). You’ll write - press releases, blogs, case studies and briefing materials - and you’ll also edit and review work from more junior members of the team, so a good eye for detail matters as much as a good turn of phrase. On the client side, you’ll manage day-to-day communications on your projects, attend meetings, present work, and flag risks early rather than hoping they’ll go away. You’ll run campaign elements from start to finish with support from your Client Director, lead on coverage reports and results analysis, and get experience building campaign budgets too. You’ll also take ownership of coverage tracking and reporting for Amazon in the UK, our longest-standing client. That means monitoring coverage week to week, logging and classifying it accurately, making sure partner agencies get their submissions in on time, and checking everything before monthly reporting deadlines. It’s detailed work, and it matters, because this data shows how well the PR is performing. If you like knowing exactly where things stand and enjoy tightening up a process, you’ll do well with it.**The people part**This role is a step up, which means helping junior colleagues and interns find their feet through feedback, mentoring and sharing how we work. If you’ve done some of this already and enjoyed it, that’s a good sign.**How we work**We use AI every day at Clearbox, and the whole team has access to enterprise AI tools. Our clients increasingly use AI-powered dashboards and data assistants in their own reporting too, so we’d like you to be comfortable working with it. That covers getting a first draft moving, digging through research faster and making sense of coverage data. We’re not looking for someone who hands their thinking over to a chatbot, though. The judgement, the news sense and the journalist relationships are always going to be yours, and AI gives you more time for them.**Who we’re looking for**You’ve probably got around three to four years’ experience in PR, communications or media, and you can show us you’ve pitched to press and managed small projects successfully. You write well across lots of formats and topics, you stay calm when things get busy, and you’ve got the news sense to know a story when you see one. You’re comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets as well as words, because a good coverage report is only as good as the data behind it. You’re organised and reliable, happy working on your own or as part of a team, and you bring a positive attitude to the room, because that matters to us more than you might think.**The details**The salary is £28,000 to £32,000, depending on experience, and you’ll report to our Client Director. It’s 37.5 hours a week. We’d prefer full-time, but we’d still encourage part-time applicants to get in touch so if you’re brilliant but don’t work full-time then apply! You’ll be based at 2B The Printworks in Belfast four days a week, with one optional remote day on Friday.**What you get*** 25 days’ holiday plus 10 bank holidays, with the option to buy, sell or carry over days* Flexible working, including paid 1pm finishes on Fridays between June - October* Private medical insurance, life insurance, income protection and a health cash plan* Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, plus compassionate and carers leave* Unconscious motivator training and coaching through our partners at Square Box* A £1,000 annual training budget and a structured onboarding programme* Access to enterprise AI tools, and support to get the most out of them* A £500 referral bonus* The chance of a work exchange with our Berlin sister agency, plus client travel* Socials, a dog-friendly office and a drinks fridge (priorities, after all)**How to apply**Email your CV to hello@clearboxcommunications.com, along with short written answers to these three questions:* What’s a piece of coverage or campaign you’ve worked on that you’re proudest of?* What’s a PR campaign you didn’t work on but wish you had?* What’s a career goal Clearbox could help you achieve? The closing date is 17:00 on 13th November 2026.
