Step up in your PR career – Join a bold, collaborative PR agency with a high performing B2B team
Senior Account Executive (SAE)
London – Hybrid (3 days in the office / 2 from home)
Are you ready to take the next big step in your PR career? Do you love shaping narratives, securing impactful media coverage, and building strong journalist relationships that help brands cut through the noise?
My client is looking for a bright, ambitious Senior Account Executive to join a growing team and take the lead on delivering outstanding PR strategies for B2B clients. You’ll work across exciting and dynamic industries including technology, fintech, professional services, and corporate communications — helping businesses to build trust, credibility, and industry authority through powerful storytelling.
This is the ideal role for a PR professional with around two years’ agency experience, looking to sharpen their strategic thinking, boost their media pitching power, and take more ownership of campaigns while building towards Account Manager level.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with Account Managers and Directors to develop and deliver successful PR campaigns. You’ll be a proactive communicator, an eager media hound, and a natural relationship builder. Your days will be a mix of client interaction, campaign planning, media outreach, content creation, and strategic input.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Support in the development and execution of tailored PR strategies for B2B clients.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of integrated campaigns aligned with clients’ business objectives.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance using analytics tools and media evaluation software.
Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national, trade, and vertical journalists relevant to your client sectors.
- Confidently pitch news stories, commentary, and feature ideas to the media.
- Secure high-quality, relevant coverage in print, digital, and broadcast media.
- Monitor media landscapes for opportunities, trends, and competitor news.
Content Creation
- Write compelling press releases, bylined articles, thought leadership content, case studies, and briefing documents.
- Edit and refine client content to ensure it aligns with brand tone and resonates with target audiences.
- Help shape client messaging and storylines that capture media attention.
- Participate in regular client meetings, providing updates, ideas, and insight.
- Take ownership of campaign deliverables and timelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the agency, from juniors to directors, to brainstorm and execute campaigns.
- Build trust and credibility with clients by delivering value and insight at every touchpoint.
Professional Development
- Receive support and mentorship as you progress toward Account Manager level.
- Get involved in new business brainstorming and proposal writing.
- Develop your leadership and mentoring skills by supporting junior team members where needed.
Apply for this role if…..
…you’re passionate about PR, have a strong foundation in B2B communications and the hunger to grow into a more senior role. You’ll be confident, curious, collaborative, and commercially aware.
Must-haves:
- Around 2 years of PR agency experience, ideally with B2B clients.
- Proven ability to write press releases, blogs, and articles to a high standard.
- A growing network of journalist contacts and the ability to secure quality media coverage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Confidence in client interactions, and an eagerness to contribute to strategy and delivery.
- Familiarity with media monitoring and CRM tools (e.g., Gorkana, Roxhill, Meltwater, or similar).
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience working on integrated communications or digital campaigns.
- An interest in business trends, innovation, and technology.
- Desire to mentor junior colleagues and build your leadership skills.
