Little Red Rooster is a PR and social media agency with a relentless work ethic, working on the frontline providing fast-paced PR, influencer relations, and social media wizardry to wow our clients. We’re proud to be a Certified B Corp as well as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work.

We’re on the hunt for a passionate, proactive Senior Account Executive with 1-2 years of PR agency experience to join our lifestyle team.

What we’re looking for

Are you ready to deliver stardust coverage in top national and glossy lifestyle titles, further your press contacts, and smash the day-to-day running on exciting brands such as Smeg, Ariat and Hush Puppies?

You know the media landscape and who’s who in lifestyle media, and you keep an eye out for new press opportunities, page changes, and contacts. You’ll have a good collection of press contacts across lifestyle and national titles, you can spot a good story, and identify current trends.

You’ll be able to secure coverage with the likes of Cosmopolitan, The Independent, and The Telegraph, and have a plethora of stand-out pieces under your belt already.

As a day-to-day contact for clients, you’ll be comfortable balancing the needs of several accounts, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and using your knowledge of your clients to consult appropriately on their PR approach.

You’ve also had experience with client events and media briefings, so you’ll be able to help plan and manage these for your accounts, from brief all the way through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

  1. Proactive client management, acting as key point of contact with guidance from an account director
  2. Planning and managing regular client and journalist meetings
  3. Suggesting and developing sell-in angles, and pitching to relevant titles
  4. Crafting press releases, media alerts, trend round-ups, and social media content
  5. Monitoring and working towards coverage KPIs
  6. Assisting with drafting scopes of work, client budgets, plans, and proposals
  7. Organising client and press events
  8. Working on paid and gifted influencer partnerships
  9. Briefing interns and account executives on tasks, and reviewing and proofing these as required
  10. Supporting the senior team on new business pitches

Key skills and experience

  • 1-2 years of PR agency experience, preferably working with lifestyle brands
  • Able to liaise with clients independently on the day-to-day of accounts, dealing with requests in a timely, calm, and reassuring manner
  • A strong track record of securing coverage across print, online, and broadcast, with a solid book of contacts
  • Excellent writing skills, polished through regular training sessions
  • Exceptional attention to detail; able to produce high-quality, error-free work with minimal revisions
  • Confident in professional communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills; capable of planning and managing a busy workload, delivering projects on time, and flagging issues for senior support

Above all, a passion for PR and securing coverage is essential!
