The Governing Body of St Hugh’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and outstanding teacher to join our Senior Leadership team as a SENDCO. The SENDCO will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to develop the school's SEN policy and provision. We welcome applications from experienced SENDCOs.

Candidate requirements:
  • An exceptional teacher and leader committed to high standards for all pupils, including those with SEND
  • An outstanding role model with enthusiasm who can inspire and motivate
  • Experience in tracking, monitoring, and reporting children’s progress
  • A highly motivated and creative individual dedicated to developing pupil potential and raising achievement
  • Ability to plan, organise workload, and communicate effectively with staff, pupils, parents, and outside agencies
  • Good understanding of the EYFS/KS1/KS2 curriculum
  • Open to new ideas, team-oriented, with a good sense of humour
  • Strong moral and ethical principles, integrity, and commitment to safeguarding
  • Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations
