Job summary

Keys Education seeks a SENDCo for Mynydd Haf School in Caerphilly to lead SEND provision and champion inclusive practice. You will collaborate with staff and external agencies to ensure personalised support for pupils with IDP/ALN statements and complex needs.

The role involves strategic SEND development, reviews, and budget guidance to meet pupils' needs while promoting a safe, supportive school community.

Qualifications

Accredited ALNCo/SENDCo qualification.
Hold QTS or QTLS.
Passionate about education and inclusion.
Able to manage SEND provision with the Headteacher.

Responsibilities

Support the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.
Complete Annual Reviews, Interim reviews and Emergency Reviews of IDP’s in line with the SEND code of practice.
Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the SEND policy and coordination of provision for individual pupils.
Look after looked after pupils within the school.
Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working with staff, parents and other agencies.
Advise on the use of the school budget to meet pupils' needs effectively.
Promote inclusion in the school community and access to the curriculum.
Lead and manage staff and deployment of resources.
Lead on interventions to support all pupils.
Quality assurance of Teaching and Learning with a focus on SEND provision.
Attend and review PEP meetings.
