Job summary

The Richard Pate School is seeking a SENDCo and Head of Learning Support to lead SEND provision across the school from January 2027. This full-time role is based in Cheltenham on a single-site, co-educational, independent day school.

You will have Qualified Teacher Status, experience delivering SEND in primary settings (EYFS-KS2), and be skilled at coordinating with staff, parents and external agencies. The package includes a competitive salary based on experience and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status and experience delivering SEND within a primary setting.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEND provision across the school.
• Coordinate with staff, parents and external agencies to support learners.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and development.
