Job summary

Flexzo Teach seeks an independent SEND tutor to deliver one-to-one KS1 support in Birmingham (B18). The role runs Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:30am–12:30pm, term-time only, with a co-tutor sharing days to ensure consistent care.

Ideal candidates have extensive KS1 SEND experience, can work independently and with a small two-person team, and can tailor lessons to sensory and communication needs. Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Extensive practical experience providing 1:1 SEND support for primary learners (KS1).
• Ability to work independently and with a co-tutor as part of a small team.
• Expertise in adapting learning to individual regulation and sensory profiles.
• Eligible to work in the UK and willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 SEND tutoring sessions for KS1 in-person in Birmingham.
• Collaborate with a co-tutor to ensure cohesive, consistent care.
• Support the student with communication and sensory needs within school settings.

Flexzo Teach connects exceptional educators directly with local specialist provisions for tailored 1:1 roles. We are currently looking for a confident, independent SEND tutor with extensive experience to provide one-to-one support for a young Key Stage 1 learner with communication and sensory needs in Birmingham (B18). This role is part of an ongoing programme working in a job-share structure alongside another tutor to ensure seamless, consistent care for the student.
