£120 - £200 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic and professional Tutors to work with a school in Middlesbrough. We collaborate with children services and inclusive learning services to support Looked After Children, helping them progress alongside their peers.

We work with a diverse group of Looked After Children with various needs. Tutors will provide learning support for exam preparation or help students reintegrate into mainstream education. We are currently hiring for home tuition and school-based support, focusing on core skills in English, Maths, and behaviour management.

Working Hours:

Full-time or part-time options available, depending on your preference.

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least 6 months experience in an educational setting
  • Experience working one-on-one with pupils
  • A passion for impacting young people's learning
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and helping children regulate emotions
  • Understanding of working with vulnerable young people, including those in care and with SEN
