Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with the local authority to recruit a SEND Tutor to support young people with SEMH needs in Stratford-upon-Avon. This long-term, full-time role focuses on delivering tailored 1:1 tuition in core subjects and building positive relationships with students who require personalised education.

Applicants with experience in alternative provision or 1:1 tuition are welcomed; QTS not required.

Salary: £25 - £35 per hour

Do you have experience delivering engaging 1:1 tuition or working within an alternative provision setting?

Can you support students to progress through core subjects while building positive relationships?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a local authority to recruit a SEND Tutor to support young people with SEMH needs. This role provides the opportunity to work with students who require a personalised approach to education, helping them to re-engage with learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The local authority is looking to appoint a SEND Tutor on a long-term, full-time basis. The successful SEND Tutor will support students through core subjects, providing tailored 1:1 tuition and adapting learning to meet individual needs. Tutors without QTS will be considered, with alternative provision teaching experience or 1:1 experience essential for this role.

The successful SEND Tutor will have:

• Experience teaching in an alternative provision setting or delivering 1:1 tuition
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs
• Strong knowledge of core subjects
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people
