Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Maths & English Tutor to provide 1:1 support to students in Sidcup who are currently out of mainstream education, including those awaiting school placements, alternative provision, or EOTAS packages.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who may have experienced disruption to their education and require tailored academic support to help them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

Competenze

• Experience teaching Maths and English.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience working with children and young people who may be disengaged from education.
• Ability to build rapport and motivate learners with a range of needs and abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Desirable: QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Desirable: EOTAS, alternative provision, or home tuition experience.
• Desirable: SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, or behavioural challenges.
• Desirable: SATs, GCSEs, or Functional Skills preparation.

Desirable:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering EOTAS, alternative provision, or home tuition.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, or behavioural challenges.
• Experience preparing students for SATs, GCSEs, or Functional Skills qualifications.
• Degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or a related subject.
• Previous experience delivering 1:1 tuition in community or home settings.
