Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 Maths tutoring to pupils not attending school in the Trafford area. The role involves planning and delivering tailored lessons to re-engage learners and raise attainment.

Ideal candidates have QTS/QTLS/PGCE, UK school experience, and up-to-date safeguarding training. Contract type varies; hours per session range from 1 to 3, with a minimum hourly rate of £25.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent.
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke 1:1 Maths tutoring to bridge gaps in education.
• Plan, deliver and adapt tailored lessons for individual pupils.
• Re-engage pupils with learning and provide structure to daily routines.
• Monitor progression and support effective learning with the student.

Outreach Tutor

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Maths Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people that are not attending school.

As an Maths Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons.

Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so their confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to reengage them in your learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.

Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour.
• Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
