Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting a SEND Tutor to teach Maths and English to students with EHCPs who are unable to attend standard lessons. The role is based in Bolton and will be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with sessions of one to five hours per day as needed.

You will work 1:1 with students, plan and deliver engaging sessions, and support their progression. The position starts September 2026, with excellent PAYE rates (£30 per hour), strong support from a dedicated consultant,

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualification required.
• Experience of working with students with EHCPs.
• Ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions.
• Demonstrated passion for making a difference to young people.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths and English to SEND students 1:1 as per EHCP.
• Deliver sessions based on individual needs and schedules.
• Record progress and communicate with consultants and schools.

The School and Role

Vision for Education are looking for a SEND Tutor who can teach Maths & English to students with EHCPs who are unable to attend education. The desired SEND Tutor will be working 1:1 with students with special educational needs and disabilities. The SEND Tutor role is based in Bolton and long term to provide consistency for students. Sessions can be one - five hours per day (during or after school hours) depending on the student's needs.

Requirements

The desired SEND Tutor will have:

• A teaching qualification
• Experience of working with students with EHCPs
• An ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions
• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people
