  • Caring, patient, and empathetic approach essential.
  • Willingness to apply for a DBS check if not current.

Location: Borough of Hillingdon
Salary: 90 - 115 per day (PAYE)
Contract Type: Flexible Supply (Day-to-Day/Short-Term/Long-Term Opportunities)
Start Date: Ongoing

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistants (SEND TAs) to work across a variety of mainstream and specialist schools in the Hillingdon area.

Whether you're an experienced practitioner or looking to take your first steps into SEND support, this is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly while making a real impact.



About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

  • ADHD

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to aid learning and development

  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment

  • Using communication tools such as PECs, Makaton, or visual timetables (training desirable but not essential)
