Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of special educational needs across KS3 and KS4 in Ely and surrounding schools. Daily supply roles offer variety and the chance to make a positive impact in multiple settings.

You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement learning plans, provide 1:1 and small group support, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils access the curriculum while maintaining safeguarding and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are desirable

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across KS3 and KS4

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
• Assist with personal care and mobility where required
• Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
• Experience supporting young people with SEND in a school or care setting
• Confident working across secondary age groups
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable to changing needs as a SEND Teaching Assistant
• Able to follow safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
• Willing to commit to daily supply work across multiple schools
