Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a high-performing special needs school in Merton, starting September 2026. You will work across Early Years, Primary and Secondary, in small classes of 6–8 pupils, with a range of needs including autism and speech and language difficulties.

Qualifications

• No previous school or special needs experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Developing pupils’ speech, language and communication skills
• Teaching vocabulary and comprehension using visual resources
• Supporting pupils with tailored numeracy and literacy activities
• Providing one-to-one learning support
• Encouraging communication, confidence and social awareness
• Assisting with creative and sensory lessons, including art, music, cooking and sensory play
