Treetops House is a proposed independent day special school in Hammersmith for pupils aged 8-16, seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a small class-based team. The role focuses on supporting pupils to access learning, communicate, regulate and participate in school life.

The post is full-time, term-time pattern to be confirmed, with a pro rata salary of £26,500–£30,500 FTE. Level 2/3 TA qualification desirable; safeguarding and inclusive practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Good communication and teamwork are essential.
• Willingness to undertake SEND and safeguarding training.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils to access learning, routines and transitions.
• Use visual supports and structured activities as directed.
• Support EHCP outcomes and individual targets.
• Promote communication, independence and self-advocacy.
• Record progress and level of prompting provided.
• Assist with specialist lessons, breaks, arrivals, and departures.
• Follow agreed regulation and safeguarding procedures and report concerns.
