Job summary

Hirecracker Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a SEN school in Northwich. The role is a full-time position starting in November for the full academic year, with potential temp-to-perm options.

Salary is £110–£115 per day, paid weekly, and opportunities for part-time and flexible arrangements are available. You will support pupils with ADHD, ASD, and complex needs, delivering 1:1 or small group interventions, and helping pupils’ progress across tailored curricula.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SLD, ADHD, autism or complex needs in school.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Patience, empathy and resilience when supporting children with complex needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; able to adapt approaches to individual pupils.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ADHD, ASD and complex needs in the classroom.
• Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions focused on learning, social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Support pupils' GCSEs on a tailored curriculum.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, behavioural and health needs using positive reinforcement.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive peer interactions.
• Maintain a calm, structured classroom environment that promotes focus and inclusion.
