We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work for our partner SEND schools that are seeking new staff for the next academic year.

The SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualised assistance and guidance to students with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum, participate in school activities, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

·Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, assisting them with academic tasks, personal care, and social integration.

·Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations to meet students' specific needs.

·Support students with developing essential skills such as communication, independence, and self-regulation.

·Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress, recording and reporting on achievements and areas for development.

·Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting understanding, acceptance, and respect for students with SEND.

·Communicate effectively with parents, external professionals, and other members of the school community to ensure coordinated support for students.

·Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, building their confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

·Previous experience working with students with SEND, either in a school setting or in a similar support role, is highly desirable.

·Knowledge of different types of SEND, as well as strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.

·Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their goals.

·Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently, with a proactive and flexible approach to tasks.

·A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.

·Relevant qualifications or training in areas such as Special Educational Needs, Childcare, or Education are advantageous.
