SEND Teaching Assistant - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool
Start date: ASAP / September 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: 85 - 100 per day (depending on experience)

Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support, tailored to individual learning needs
  • Assisting the class teacher with classroom management and lesson delivery
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and academic skills
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with SEND (school, care, or youth settings considered)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to meet pupils\' needs
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
