A leading educational support provider in Sheffield is seeking a SEND Primary Teaching Assistant to work with primary-aged children with complex needs in a supportive environment. The role involves planning resources, supporting personal care, and ensuring safety. Ideal candidates should have experience with SEND children and strong literacy and numeracy skills. There is potential for permanent employment after a successful probation period.

Location: Sheffield, S36
Rate: £100 per day
Start date: ASAP
Contract type: Temp - perm
Working hours: Monday to Friday, term time only, 8:30–3:30
Unique School Solutions are supporting a wonderful primary school in the S36 area of Sheffield to recruit a specialist Teaching Assistant to work within a newly founded specialist learning environment within the school. The unit supports primary aged pupils with complex needs and speech and language difficulties. Although initially this role will be long-term temporary, there is the opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate with the school following a successful probation period.
Unique School Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will require an enhanced DBS check; the role involves regulated activity and may require a Barred List Check relevant to the post.
