Job summary

St Mark’s C of E Primary School in Kendal is seeking a qualified teaching assistant to join a caring staff on a temporary, part-time post.

The role is 17.5 hours per week (8:45am-12:30pm) supporting pupils, including those with EHCPs, and assisting in delivering an inclusive education. The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references, with a closing date of 7 November 2025.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with SEND.
• NVQ2 or equivalent qualification.
• Able to carry out activities with individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in mornings (8:45am-12:30pm).
• Support pupils with EHCPs and SEND needs.
• Promote inclusive whole-school ethos and values.
