Position: Teaching Assistant

Sussex Teachers are currently recruiting for a part-time SEND Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school in Hanover, Brighton. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide 1:1 support for a lower KS2 student with SEND and make a real difference in a child’s educational journey. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working in special educational needs (SEND) and supporting children with additional learning needs.

  • Position: Part-time SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 support)
  • Location: Hanover, Brighton
  • Hours: 8:45 AM – 1:00 PM (Part-time)
  • Start Date: Immediate, ideally until the end of the academic year (or until Easter if preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a Year 3 student with SEND in both classroom and individual settings.
  • Adapt lesson plans and objectives to meet the child’s specific needs.
  • Implement the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and support social and emotional development.
  • Assist with behaviour management and foster positive classroom dynamics.
