Job summary

Salendine Nook Academy Trust in Huddersfield is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant apprentice (Level 3) to support SEND students within classroom settings. You will work under a teacher, providing one-to-one or small-group assistance aligned to learning goals.

The apprenticeship offers a Level 5 TA pathway after completion, with term-time hours, duration around 1 year 6 months, and training delivered by LET ME PLAY LIMITED. 2 positions available.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at A*-C (4-9) or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Patience and ability to work with SEND pupils.
• Ability to follow school procedures and adapt to classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classrooms supporting SEND pupils under teacher guidance.
• Record progress and help meet learning objectives/targets.
• Provide one-to-one or small-group support per pre-planned activities.
• Contribute to routine tasks such as photocopying and filing.
• Support behaviour plans and teamwork with staff.
