Worfield Endowed CE Primary School is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract to 31 August 2027. The role is 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday to Friday) at NJC Grade 5, to join our team of teaching assistants and support a pupil with an EHCP.

The successful candidate will prepare resources, lead interventions and work within a small, supportive staff in a rural setting, with opportunities for high quality CPD and collaboration with a forward-thinking leadership team.

Formación

Fixed Term (to 31/08/2027 in the first instance)

There may be the opportunity for the successful candidate to be offered an additional contract to support within our Extended Schools provision. This can be discussed at interview.

Worfield School is situated just off the picturesque Main Street of half-timbered houses and old cottages, leading to the 12th century church and the Tudor manor house. The ideal candidate needs to be patient, with a warm and friendly attitude and have the passion and determination to succeed through challenging situations on a daily basis. You will predominantly be providing support to a pupil with an EHCP to enable them to access the curriculum. This may include the preparation of resources and leading interventions.

To be considered for this SEND Teaching Assistant position you will need to have experience of working with children with SEND in either a primary school setting or in a specialist provision. You should also have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent qualification.
