Start Date: September 2025
Location: Bolton
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Contract Length: Initially through agency, with the opportunity for a school-based contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive primary school environment.

As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to provide tailored assistance to children, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential - academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Support the development of pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Monitor and record pupil progress in line with EHCPs and school targets

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a school setting

  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) - desirable but not essential

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and welcoming team

  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities

  • A well-resourced school with a strong commitment to inclusive education

  • The opportunity for a permanent, school-based contract for the right candidate
