Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a great school in the Weston-Super-Mare area. The successful candidate will support children with special needs across various levels of the autistic spectrum, aged 16+. The role starts immediately and is expected to be long-term following a successful trial.

Key Skills and Requirements
  • Comfortable working 1:1 or in small groups with children with SEND
  • Active listening and strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support children's physical, social, and emotional welfare
  • Empathy and understanding in handling complex and sensitive issues
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures
  • Experience working with young people or SEND in any capacity
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Reside in Weston-Super-Mare or within a commutable distance
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
