Job summary

A reputable educational provider is seeking two proactive SEND Teaching Assistants to work with primary-aged students with special educational needs. This role involves building trusted relationships and providing hands-on support to help students thrive. Ideal candidates should have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and a passion for making a difference in children's lives. The role is full-time during term time only with a salary range of £98 - £108 per day.

SEND Teaching Assistant Special School

North Bradford

£98 - £108 per day

PK Education are proud to be working with a fantastic special school in North Bradford, who are looking for two passionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team.

This is more than just a job it s a chance to make a real difference in children s lives every single day. You ll be working with Primary-aged students who are non-verbal and pre-verbal, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The role can be challenging at times, but it s also hugely rewarding perfect for someone who is energetic, committed, and wants to be part of a team that inspires potential in every child

What you ll be doing:

  • Supporting the teacher in class and working closely with SEND students.
  • Building trusted relationships with pupils to create a safe, encouraging learning space.
  • Taking a hands-on, proactive approach to get involved in all aspects of school life.
  • Providing a nurturing and patient attitude to help students overcome frustrations and celebrate successes.
  • Adapting support strategies to meet a wide range of needs, from autism to severe learning difficulties.

What we re looking for:

  • A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (EYFS or above).
  • Bonus skills: MAKATON, PECS, Visual Aids, PEG Feed, Hoist Training (but don t worry if not training can be given).
  • Someone proactive, enthusiastic, and motivated with a genuine passion for supporting children.
  • Flexibility, commitment, and resilience you ll be ready to go the extra mile.
  • A valid DBS on the update service.
