A small SEN school in Birchington is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with sensory needs. The role involves working closely with students to enhance their learning experience and promote inclusivity. The ideal candidate will have a background in teaching assistance and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.
The Llewellyn School are a small SEN school in Quex Park Birchington. Our school provides high quality education and support for children and young people aged 4-25 who have disabilities which impact on their daily life.
We are currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our lovely staff team, we require someone who is patient, kind, understanding and wants to make a difference to the life of a child. The role will be supporting our Sensory cohort, supporting children who has sensory processing or sensory seeking needs.Our Teaching Assistants are essential partners to our class teachers, helping our incredible students reach their full potential and fostering their independence skills.
Staff may support individual students or small groups, helping them engage with our diverse, enjoyable, relevant, and practical curriculum. Given the variety of learning needs among our students, there are occasions when some may exhibit challenging behaviours.
