Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is recruiting for SEND Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs in SEND schools and mainstream settings from September 2026 across the local area. Roles include one-to-one and small group support, fostering communication and emotional regulation, and helping pupils build confidence in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in schools is fantastic, but it's not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
• Working with children and young people with SEND, SEMH, ASD and PMLD
• Helping pupils regulate emotions, build confidence and engage in learning
• Supporting communication, sensory activities and personal care where required
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff
• Working alongside teachers and specialist SEND teams
• Creating a safe, calm and encouraging learning environment
