Job Title: Catering Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEND College Location: Bromley, South London Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:00pm Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term or Temp-to-Perm Start Date: September 2025 Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them build practical life skills? A specialist SEND college in Bromley is seeking a Catering Learning Support Assistant to support students in developing catering and hospitality skills in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in education, care, or hospitality, who has a patient and hands-on approach and a genuine passion for inclusive learning. Key Responsibilities: • Support students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, during catering sessions • Assist with practical food preparation, hygiene, safety, and kitchen routines • Encourage independence and engagement in a structured, vocational environment • Work 1:1 and in small groups, implementing EHCP goals and supporting communication • Collaborate with tutors, therapists, and wider college staff to ensure holistic support Requirements: • Experience in a SEND, care, or vocational training setting • Knowledge of catering or willingness to assist in practical kitchen tasks • Proactive, calm, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learner needs • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) • Strong communication and teamwork skills This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on students' confidence, skills, and independence.
