Job summary

Byerley Park Primary School in Newton Aycliffe is seeking a motivated teaching assistant for a temporary term-time role. You will work 26.25 hours per week, supporting pupils with SEND 1:1 and assisting in class with groups and activities.

The post requires a Level 2 TA qualification, GCSEs in English and Maths, and an enhanced DBS if successful. Visits are welcome and applications close soon.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification and GCSE English/Maths (C or above).
• Qualification meeting Early Years 'full and relevant' criteria.
• DBS enhanced disclosure required if successful.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to children with SEND.
• Support individuals and groups in class activities.
• Assist with behaviour management and classroom routines.
