A leading education recruitment agency seeks a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a mainstream primary school in London. You will provide essential 1:1 support to a student with Autism, utilizing various communication methods and strategies in a supportive environment. Location: SW8, London Salary: £89 per day (PAYE) Hours: Full-time, 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM About the Role: We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support student with Autism in a mainstream primary school. This modern school offers outstanding facilities, including sensory rooms, and a supportive, inclusive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in SEND who is passionate about helping young children thrive in a school setting. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 support to a student with Autism. • Support the use of alternative communication methods such as Makaton or PECS • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCO to implement personalised strategies. • Encourage the child’s engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
