Job description

Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Special School in the Vale of White Horse District of Oxfordshire who are looking for an SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This SEND Teaching Assistant role will involve working across all years groups supporting students with different learning difficulties both moderate and severe.

The role is full time andis in a Special School wherethey pride themselves of he fun learning environment that they provide for their students and ensure that the time is taken to get to know the students. This SEND Teaching Assistant role will continue for the full academic year.

SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

• Able to provide 1 to 1, small group and whole class support
• Work effectively with other members of staff as well as external professionals
• Ability to support students and encourage their progression
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Recent experience working in a Mainstream or Special School
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
• Previous SEND experience is essential
