We are located on the A393 Redruth – Falmouth road, close to the Kennall Vale Nature Reserve, a picturesque river valley containing the remains of Kennall Vale Gunpowder Works. Kennall Vale School opened in new, purpose-built premises in 1993 and has since been extended and fully refurbished. The school has 5 classrooms and currently enrolls 132 pupils organized into mixed-age classes.

We are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND and the rest of the class at Kennall Vale School. This is a fixed-term contract until August 2026, working 31.25 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday.
We seek an enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed individual who aligns with the ethos of Kennall Vale School. The primary responsibility is to support the delivery of provisions outlined in children's Individual Education Plans and Education, Health and Care Plans.
Experience working within primary education is essential. Recent knowledge and skills in SEND areas such as Speech and Language, Cognition, and Learning are desirable.
Developing positive and nurturing relationships with children is key. The successful candidate will be warm, child-centered, and skilled at encouraging young people to reach their potential.
