Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in Northampton and across local schools. Daily supply, short-term, long-term placements and permanent routes are available.

You will need at least 12 months' experience in a UK school, a Level 2 TA qualification, and the right to work in the UK. A patient, resilient approach and strong safeguarding knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in a UK education setting.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent Ofqual-recognised qualification).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management.
• Confidence supporting children with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEN and disabilities.
• Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted support.
• Assist with learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups where required.

Monarch Education is working with a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools across Northampton and is looking to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants who are confident supporting pupils with additional needs.

Whether you're looking for daily supply, short-term assignments, long-term placements or a route into a permanent role, we can offer flexibility to suit your availability.
