SEND Teaching Assistant – Ealing – September 2025 Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Ealing this September. This school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, prides itself on providing a nurturing environment where all pupils can thrive – especially those with additional learning needs. The role is based within the school’s dedicated ARP, designed to support children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and other SEND profiles.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will benefit from:

Your responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant will include:

  • Supporting children across EYFS and KS1 with a range of SEND including speech and language difficulties, ASD, and developmental delays
  • Delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of SENCOs and therapists
  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour through established school strategies
  • Adapting classroom resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, feeding back to teachers and parents/carers

To be successful as a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will need:

  • A 2:1 or above in a relevant degree such as Psychology, Childhood Studies or Education
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, ideally in a school or childcare setting
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards supporting learning
  • A patient, empathetic and adaptable personality suited to a dynamic SEN environment
