About the role

Connex Education is working with a SEND school in Llanelli to recruit an experienced Learning Support Assistant. While previous experience in special educational needs isn’t essential, a good understanding of learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges is highly beneficial. This role is well-suited to individuals with a background in mainstream education, or those with experience in care or support work.

Assignment Details

As a Teaching Assistant in a SEND school, we’re looking for adaptable individuals who can work across all Key Stages. You should be enthusiastic about supporting a broad range of curriculum activities and helping pupils engage in enriching experiences. The ideal candidate will balance strong support with appropriate challenges to promote meaningful learning and development.

Person specification

  • Aged 19 and over
  • C or above in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Care / Support Worker Background
  • DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
  • EWC registered
