are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

Location:

Merstham and surrounding Surrey areas

Salary:

GBP102.60 - GBP119.70 per day, Umbrella (PAYE option available)

Responsibilities of SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
  • Assist with planning and delivering accessible and engaging lessons and activities.
  • Develop and implement individual health and care plans (EHCPs) and behaviour plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff.
  • Monitor and record student progress and communicate with teachers, parents, and support staff.
  • Provide personal care and support, including toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
  • Support classroom management and behaviour, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally at KS3 & KS4 levels.
  • Knowledge of different types of SEN and strategies to support these needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from teachers and senior staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A valid UK DBS or willingness to apply for one (assistance available).
