SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: North Shropshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)

Do you have a heart for helping children overcome challenges and reach their full potential? Would you love to work in a small, nurturing rural school where every child is known, valued, and supported?

We are a welcoming and inclusive rural primary school in North Shropshire, surrounded by beautiful countryside and a strong sense of community. We are looking for a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join our team from September.

The Role:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with additional needs

Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement personalised support plans

Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and classroom inclusion

Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem in pupils

Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience supporting children with SEND (in education, care or related settings)

Is calm, patient, and nurturing with a flexible, problem-solving approach

Understands the importance of tailored support for each child's unique needs

Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families

Is committed to the wellbeing and progress of every learner
