Teaching Assistant – KS3 | Special Educational Needs (SEN) | £90–£95 per day | September Start A specialist school is seeking a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join the Key Stage 3 team from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 11–14 with a range of learning needs, including communication and interaction difficulties and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment where education is tailored to meet individual needs. Pupils are encouraged to develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally, with the goal of preparing them for adulthood—whether through further education, training, employment, or living as independently as possible and contributing positively to their community. The Role: Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom under the guidance of teachers and specialists. Promoting pupils’ development across academic, social, emotional and physical areas. Helping to implement individual strategies that support communication, interaction, and self-regulation. Delivering targeted one-to-one or small group support, encouraging independence and confidence. Maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The Ideal Candidate: The successful applicant will bring experience and compassion to the role, and will: Have previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, especially ASC and communication needs. Be patient, resilient and committed to supporting the progress of every pupil. Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. Be able to adapt to the diverse and changing needs of pupils.
