Job summary

Burnt Oak Primary School is seeking a part-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support an individual pupil and small groups, across year groups, in a warm and inclusive environment. You will assist with class cover, targeted interventions and fostering positive relationships to help learners thrive academically and emotionally.

The role is 32.5 hours per week during term time (38 weeks), with a fixed-term contract linked to funding. Frontline safeguarding and DBS checks will apply.

Job description

Post Title: SENTeaching Assistant

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/08/2027 - linked to funding

Hours: 32.5 per week (8.30am - 3.30pm)

Weeks: 38 (Term Time only)

Salary: Medway NJC D2 4-11 (dependent on experience) - £19,107 - £21,351 actual per annum (£26,016 - £29,071FTE)

This fixed‑term role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by providing personalised support to an individual pupil, and small groups of helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
