We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teachers to work for our partner SEND schools that are seeking new staff for the next academic year.

A SEND Teacher plays a crucial role in providing high-quality teaching and support for students with diverse learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

·Plan and deliver differentiated lessons and learning activities that meet the individual needs and abilities of students with SEND.

·Adapt teaching strategies and materials to cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students can actively participate and engage in learning.

·Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly, providing feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.

·Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and accommodations to support students' learning and development.

·Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

·Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and working collaboratively to support their educational journey.

·Keep abreast of current research and best practices in SEND education, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay informed about new developments in the field.

Requirements:

·Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

·Specialisation or additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or SEND teaching is highly desirable.

·Previous experience teaching students with SEND, preferably in a school setting, with a strong understanding of different types of SEND and effective strategies for supporting students' learning and development.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

·Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may have complex learning needs or challenging behaviours.

·Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.

·A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community and ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality education.
