Job summary

The Westminster School, Hawes Lane, Rowley Regis, West Midlands, seeks a dynamic teacher to deliver Humanities to pupils with SEND, while expanding outdoor and community-based learning including Forest School and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

You will collaborate with staff to embed Preparation for Adulthood, safeguard and inclusion, and build partnerships with parks and local organisations. This is a full-time role with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status and experience with SEND pupils.
• Experience delivering Humanities and outdoor/Forest School activities.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and inclusive practice.
• Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs.
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Deliver or support engaging Humanities learning.
• Develop fieldwork, mapping and place-based learning.
• Lead outdoor learning and Forest School activities.
• Create conservation and environmental projects.
• Develop partnerships with parks and community organisations.
• Lead or support Duke of Edinburgh's Award provision.
• Contribute to educational visits, residentials and outdoor activities.
• Support pupils' independence, resilience, teamwork and communication.
• Embed Preparation for Adulthood throughout learning experiences.
