Are you an outstanding General ASC Teacher – Key Stages 3 and 4, with extensive experience of working with Autistic children/young people in an education setting and a passion for inclusion, enabling all children to overcome barriers to learning?

We are seeking a proactive, resourceful, and dynamic General ASC KS3 and KS4 (Secondary) Teacher to work across the Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum. You will collaborate with our specialist teachers in Art, Design/DT, PE, Maths, and English, where appropriate, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive learning experience for every pupil.

Spring – Summer 2025

You should be self-motivated with a creative approach to curriculum delivery and have the skills to continuously improve the learning experience for our pupils. You should have experience of working with young people with Autism and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key.

Over the last two years the school has been through positive changes and developments, with a new Headteacher, strengthened Senior Leadership Team, and a revised business strategy to support significant growth.

The position of General ASC Teacher – Key Stages 3 and 4 has been created to support the growth of the school and the needs of our pupils, it is a great opportunity to be part of a team proving the very best possible educational opportunities for our pupils within a nurturing and supportive setting.

Our school

Our Special School is a special school that provides education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with ASD and associated difficulties. All pupils on roll have an EHCP and the school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on the formation and maintenance of positive relationships and viewing all behaviour as communication.

As a General ASC Teacher – Key Stage 3 and 4 you will work in an immensely rewarding, although often challenging environment, contributing to supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and truly making a difference in the lives of pupils.
