We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our nurturing and ambitious SEN Provision based in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team that is committed to providing high-quality education and care to pupils with a wide range of complex needs.
Our specialist provision caters to pupils aged 5-16 with a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our multidisciplinary team works closely with families, therapists, and other professionals to ensure our pupils receive personalised, holistic support.
As an SEND Teacher, you will:
Plan, deliver, and assess personalised learning programmes tailored to individual needs
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic development
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider support team
Develop strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and external professionals
Implement behaviour support strategies and contribute to EHCP reviews
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferably in a specialist setting)
A commitment to inclusive practice and raising achievement for all learners
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Creativity, resilience, and a nurturing approach to teaching
